​유기적 경계

​

우리는 누구나 경계를 가지고 있다. 인종, 국가, 이념 등 인간은 계급과 분류를 통해서 자신들의 위치를 파악하고 거기에 맞는 권리와 의무를 이행하는 게 익숙한 사회에 살고 있다. 그러나 코로나로 인해 우리는 그간 보이지 않았던 솔직히 말하면 알고 있지만 드러내지 않았던 경계가 수면에 올라온 것을 직감했으며, 세계 곳곳에서는 물리적 충돌이 지속해서 일어나고 있다. 그래서 ‘경계’라는 이슈는 현재 가장 관심을 받는 ‘화두’이기도 하다.

이번 전시로 이러한 사회적, 문화적 경계가 아닌 다른 경계에 관해 이야기를 하고자 한다.

이 전시의 특징은 가상 공간에서 이루어진다는 것이다. 코로나로 익숙해진 지난 2년 동안 우리는 여러 가지의 형태의 비대면 전시를 진행해 왔다. 이 또한 예술가들이 넘은 또 하나의 경계이다. 코로나가 사라져도 우리는 이 어색한 온라인 감상을 아마 멈추지 않을 것이다. -그때는 선택적인 요소가 되겠지만. 이렇듯 우리는 한 단계를 넘고 다시 회귀하고 하는 과정을 반복한다.-

하지만 한번 만들어진 경계는 없어지지 않는다. 다만, 넓어지거나 좁아져서 그 영역을 달리할 뿐이다. 이번 전시에서는 자신의 영역과의 싸움을 통해 그 경계를 허문 작가들이다. 그들에겐 경계라는 ‘선 ‘은 넓게 퍼져 또 다른 영역이 된다. 미디어와 회화의 경계를, 애니메이션과 페인팅의 경계를, 명품과 작품의 경계를 넘은 작품을 통해 관람자들은 감상과 더불어 가상 공간 속에서 상상의 더하는 경험을 하게 될 것이다.

However, due to COVID-19, we have intuitively sensed that boundaries that have not been seen or have not been revealed, and physical conflicts continue to occur around the world. Therefore, the issue of "warning" is also the "topic" that is currently receiving the most attention.

This exhibition intends to talk about boundaries other than these social and cultural boundaries.
The characteristic of this exhibition is that it takes place in a virtual space. Over the past two years, we have been conducting various forms of non-face-to-face exhibitions. This is also another boundary that artists cross. Even if COVID-19 disappears, we will probably not stop connecting watching this awkward online. It will be an optional factor then. In this way, we repeat the process of going over one step and reopening.
However, the boundaries once created do not disappear. However, it They only change the area by being broadened or narrowed.

In this exhibition, the writers broke the boundaries through a fight with their domain. For them, the 'line' of boundaries spreads widely and becomes another area. Through the boundaries between media and painting, the boundaries between animation and painting, and works that cross the boundaries between luxury goods and works, viewers will experience adding appreciation and imagination in a virtual space.
